GOLDEN, Colo., May 7, 2012 – Colorado School of Mines has launched a new online resource to connect journalists and the public with news, events and resources on the university’s campus.
The new Mines newsroom, http://newsroom.mines.edu, features news articles, a guide to the world-renowned experts on campus, multimedia content, media mentions, archives and university press releases.
Visitors to the site can read articles and enjoy multimedia content including videos, podcasts and slide shows created by the Mines public relations staff, the Colorado School of Mines Alumni Association, students and more. Social media connectivity allows users to share this content via their own social media channels, further spreading the news about the Mines community.
“This newsroom site will allow us to break stories about Mines and share other news and features showcasing the exciting research and outstanding student experience happening here at Mines,” said Karen Gilbert, director of public relations.
Mines contracted with NEWMEDIA!, https://newmedia.com, for website consulting, web design and Drupal web development services.
“NEWMEDIA! was proud to be selected by Mines for this exciting project,” said Steve Morris, director of business development; “the need to address their combined goals while serving multiple groups of Mines stakeholders made this project the perfect vehicle for a flexible web development framework like Drupal.”
